Comfort and control

Key to the Wave’s comfort is the synthetic suede and Spandex textile construction. It’s tough, yet lightweight and flexible, giving freedom of movement, and allowing plenty of feel and feedback from the controls. Silicone printing on the palm increases grip on the bike’s bars and levers; just as important on a busy ring road as it is on rocky mountain passes.

mcTex™ and mcFit™ Technology

A dependable mcTex™ waterproof and breathable membrane keeps hands dry and free from the effects of windchill. The warm Tri fleece lining is secured with mcFit™ technology, so there’s no uncomfortable stitching or seams, and it won’t twist or pull free when you take off your glove.

1-KP Protection

Protection is taken care of by 1-KP rated TPU knuckle armour. There are additional padded palm panels and the tough suede shell is dual-layered and triple-stitched at critical zones.

Touchscreen compatible

The short cuff design sits easily under riding jackets, with hook and loop closure for a snug and secure fit. There’s no need to remove the gloves to operate smartphones or sat navs either, since both the index fingers and thumbs are touchscreen compatible.

Created for commuting and urban rides, the new Weise Axel mixes softshell comfort and casual street style with CE-certified impact and abrasion protection, and full weatherproofing too.

Softshell comfort and CE-protection

The Axel’s tough and stretchy 600D softshell outer brings the best of both worlds: A-rated protection plus flexibility, freedom of movement and comfort on and off the bike.

CE Level 2-approved shoulder and elbow armour and a Level-1 back protector come fitted as standard. All five pieces are removable, so the Axel can be washed.

There’s also a connection zip, with a comfort stretch panel for attachment to riding trousers, which helps stop the jacket riding up, keeping the wearer well covered.

Weatherproofing on and off the bike

A fixed waterproof, windproof and breathable lining keeps out wind and rain, while allowing perspiration to escape. The high-quality YKK main entry zip is covered by a full-length storm flap. Warmth is provided by a snug 75gsm quilted thermal lining.

A detachable hood – with fleece lining – keeps the head warm and dry when off the bike. It adjusts with a drawstring and secures to the back of the Axel with a popper, so it won’t flap around whilst riding. It can also be zipped off completely, should the wearer prefer.

Practical features

An elasticated waist and cuffs keep out cold draughts and mean there’s no fiddling with adjusters, poppers, or straps to get a snug fit.

Weise Dune Jacket

AA-rated for safety, the Dune jacket has a tough textile outer shell and comes with CE Level 2 shoulder and elbow armour, and a CE Level 1 back protector, as standard.

Instantly adaptable to changeable conditions, there’s a waterproof, windproof and breathable liner and a 100gsm quilted thermal liner, both of which can be removed and replaced as required.

When the temperature rises, extra-long two-way zipped arm vents and two large chest panels can be opened to allow a cooling airflow. The chest panels roll up and stash in dedicated pockets to keep them out of the way.

Additional vents on each shoulder, along with two large exhaust vents at the rear of the jacket, can also be opened and closed to suit the conditions.

Adjustment at the waist, either side of the torso and on the forearm and bicep of each sleeve mean the wearer can fine-tune the fit and allow space for base- and mid-layers.
