New KNX15 disc lock has a stainless steel body and 120dB alarm for parking peace of mind
Combining seriously solid stainless steel construction and an ear-splitting alarm, the new Kovix KNX15 Disc Lock adds two layers of security in one for motorcycles and scooters.
Bike theft remains an ever-present threat in Britain. Powered two wheelers were 11 times more likely to be stolen than cars in 2021, and represented over 25% of all stolen vehicles in the UK.
To reduce risk, both the Metropolitan Police and the Motorcycle Industry Association advise riders to ‘layer’ security – using more than one device to maximise protection.
The Kovix KNX15 alarmed disc lock adds two layers of security in one device. Its strong stainless steel body and 14mm carbide-reinforced locking pin stop the brake disc from rotating, preventing the bike from being ridden or wheeled away. Both are designed to resist hammer and cutting tool attacks.
The pin is double-locking, which stops the ‘jaw’ of the lock from being prized open, and it is operated with a pick-proof maximum security key.
Encased in the steel body is an ear-piercing 120db alarm, which activates whenever the built-in Triaxial Shock and Movement Sensors detect anyone interfering with the machine. Louder than a police siren (110dB), the ear-splitting noise is enough to put off even the most determined thieves.
An easy-to-use on/off function allows the alarm to be disabled and re-armed by the user. An automatic reset feature also features, should the system be accidentally activated.
Easily stashed in luggage or under a seat, so you can take it wherever you travel, the Kovix KNX15 retails at £134.99. It comes complete with a long-life lithium battery, carry bag and full instructions.
Smarter than the average ground anchor, the new Kovix KGA secures a bike or scooter using only a chain – no padlock required.
Made from steel and zinc alloy, with a corrosion preventative treatment, the Kovix KGA can be used indoors or out and mounted on floor or wall, using two retaining bolts that come with it.
To secure a bike, simply thread the chain through the frame or wheel as normal, unlock the lid of the KGA and position the last links of the chain inside. Replace the lid, turn the key and an ultra-strong 14mm locking pin slides into place, bolting the links inside the protective shell of the ground anchor.
Designed to accept chain links of 10, 12 or 14 mm diameter, the compact KGA measures only 112 mm across and 55 mm high, so it can be positioned wherever the bike or scooter is safest, without having to rely on existing objects to lock onto.
A heavy-duty lock and anchor point rolled into one, the Kovix KGA is available in Black or Green. It is supplied with a DIY fitting kit, three high security keys and a coded key tag, for ordering replacements.

Simply clamp the lock around the brake lever and throttle and instantly add three layers of security – a visual deterrent to opportunist thieves, heavy-duty zinc/steel alloy construction for a tough physical obstacle and a built-in 120dB alarm for an audible warning too.
Once locked in place it stops both the throttle and front brake from operating and, should anyone attempt to move the machine or tamper with the lock, the shock and movement sensor triggers the 120dB siren, instantly attracting attention. On occasions when the alarm isn’t required the siren can be switched off.
Lighter and more compact than chains and U-locks, the Brake Lever Lock is easy to transport and, unlike disc locks, doesn’t require fiddling around by the front wheel. An added bonus is that the user can’t accidentally ride off without removing the lock first!
Not only is the zinc/steel alloy body much more resistant to attack than plastic-bodied locks, but the heavy-duty steel key barrel also resists picking and drilling.
